About

White Wedding and Event Company

Hi, I’m Sue White and I’m very proud to be the founder of White Wedding and Event Company. (yes, my surname really is White so it just had to be the company name, plus I love the Billy Idol song “White Wedding”!)

Living just outside the beautiful spa town of Harrogate I’m lucky to work with the very best venues and suppliers in Yorkshire, having spent the last 19 years building up strong and personal relationships that we know our clients’ value and trust.

I have always been involved in organising things, from conferences, and parties to school PTA and village events. I started wedding planning after a friend asked me to help her friends from London, who were both busy lawyers, getting married in Yorkshire without the time to do any of the planning or organisation. Of course, I absolutely loved it, decided to exhibit at a wedding fair – and the rest as they say is history!

I have a wealth of business experience and knowledge, which has helped me become the ‘go-to’ wedding and party planner in Yorkshire. For many years I was a member of the prestigious Crystal Committee, raising money for many of Yorkshire’s charities large and small through a two-day event including a clay shoot and a spectacular ball for up to 500 guests.

People ask me what makes me different as a wedding and event planner. I provide clients with vast experience, inspiration, imagination, confidence, and most importantly exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, but also pride myself in a truly personal and bespoke service – and we definitely have some fun along the way, often over a cup of coffee or glass of champagne!

I work with a regular team of truly creative and highly organised individuals, who together can deliver spectacular and memorable events, meticulously organised, and with a personal touch unique to White Wedding and Event Company.

When I am not planning wedding and events you will find me in the gym, walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, having coffee and cake in Betty’s, or travelling and exploring the world with my family.
